Again the installation said the drivers installed successfully, but Windows didn't think so. So, thinking maybe it was the device after all, I uninstalled the Netgear and got myself a D-Link DWA-160 (rev B2), which is "Compatible with Windows 7". Device Manager says that Windows found the drivers for the device but encountered an error "A device attached to the system is not functioning". I tried upgrading the device drivers by downloading, and then using Device Manager. ![]() I had a Netgear wifi adapter, which couldn't be detected by the installation program. I'm having a lot of trouble getting USB Wireless adapters to work. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (clean install, not upgrade), in an administrator account.
